The national leader and presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, met with the Northern Christian Leaders at his presidential campaign office in Abuja on Thursday, September 22, 2022.
The presidential candidate had a productive and amiable meeting with the delegation representing the Pentecostal Bishops Forum of Northern Nigeria.
Tinubu interacted and sought the support of the Christian leaders for his 2023 presidential bid.
The meeting comes a few hours after the former speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, said they will mobilise Northern Christians to work against the APC for fielding same faith presidential ticket.
Tinubu has been roundly condemned by the Christian community for picking a fellow Muslim as his running mate.
The critics argue that it was wrong for Tinubu to pick Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate because he is a Muslim.
The photos of Tinubu and the Christian leaders have generated a lot of reactions on social media.
