according to Fabrizio Romano’s updates, has been rejected again by Spanish giants A.madrid and Bundes Liga side FC Bayern Munich, as he continues his quest in search of a new club after tendering a transfer request to leave Manchester United this summer.
Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent, Jorge Mendes, desperate to secure a new club, had reportedly declared a willingness to take a significant pay cut that can be as high as 30%. But this wage cut doesn’t seem to make the thirty-seven (37) years old Portuguese more appealing to clubs, and Fabrizio Romano’s reports on Atletico Madrid and FC Bayern Munich’s stance on the five-times Ballon D’or winner have confirmed it.
According to Fabrizio Romano’s recent report, Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo, reacting to the rumors of Cristiano Ronaldo to Atletico de Madrid, said, “I don’t know who invented this story about Cristiano Ronaldo to Atletico Madrid. It’s definitely not true. It’s practically impossible for him to come to Atletico de Madrid.”
In the same vein, even though the club considered the option, as revealed in the Fabrizio Romano report, Bayern director Kahn speaking to Bild, said, “then we came to conclusion that, despite appreciation for Cristiano Ronaldo, he would not fit into our philosophy in the current situation.”
