Governor Charles Soludo has revealed some details regarding the attack on a prominent Anambra State politician, Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah. During an interview with Seun on Channels TV, Governor Soludo was asked if the attack on the federal lawmaker had political undertones.
Responding to the question, Gov. Soludo said, “I told you earlier that there are multiple leads and we do not wish to be presumptive. We wait for the outcome of the multiple leads when such cases are concerned. There are nearly four possible leads on this.
He continued, “Some people may have targeted the senator for political reasons or other objectives. However, we also learned that he may have run into a group that was waiting for a different victim. The criminals may have opened fire on the lawmaker while thinking that they were being busted. Security agencies are on top of the situation. I commend all security agencies for their efforts and doggedness in the state. The Anambra people are eternally grateful to them.
