South-East Attack: They Broke Our Door, Dragged The Boy To The Market And Killed Him - Resident

On Saturday, about two persons were murdered as Nigerian forces stormed two settlements in the country’s southeast.

The two communities are Orsu-Ihiteukwa in Imo State’s Orsu Local Government Area and Orsumugho in Anambra State’s Ihiala Local Government Area. They both have the same borders.

Only three weeks have passed since forces killed three residents of Orsu-Ihiteukwa in an invasion.

During the most recent assault, it was reported that military helicopters, armored tanks, and several combatant vehicles attacked Orsu-Ihiteukwa once more at around 4 a.m.

Residents claimed that as the helicopters were hovering over the communities, the army were shooting gunfire and exploding explosives.

According to reports, the firing and bombardment caused a burial ritual to be interrupted, leading people to flee into bushes for cover.

According to information obtained by PREMIUM TIMES, the operation was conducted in coordination with members of Ebubeagu, a security group supported by the Imo State Government.

Ifeanyichukwu Edurumba, a local, was allegedly slain by the army after being taken from his home at around 12 o’clock and hauled to the market in Orsu-Ihiteukwa.

Ifeoma Onyebuchi, his uncle’s wife, who was living with him, described what transpired to PREMIUM TIMES.
