A member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ogbeide Ifaluyi-Isibor, on Monday, declared support for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, over his PDP counterpart, Atiku Abubakar.
Ifaluyi-Isibor, the Director of Mobilisation, Nigeria Diaspora Youth Coalition For Peter Obi, said he is not blinded by party loyalty, adding that he does not need to belong to the Labour Party to support its presidential candidate.
The former member of the House of Representatives from Edo Central said Nigerians are tired and frustrated and cannot continue the way things are, saying the All Progressives Congress and government at the centre took the people for granted.

Ortom Calls On PDP To Address Injustice Meted To Wike

Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom on Monday called on the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to address the injustices meted out to the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and other members of the party.
Speaking during the PDP stakeholders meeting held at Government House Makurdi, the governor said that dismissing Wike and his team may hinder the party’s success in the forthcoming general elections.
The governor explained that he had at several times offered suggestions on how the internal wranglings could be resolved.
Aggrieved Kaduna APC Aspirants Drop Court Cases

Aggrieved aspirants of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last primaries to the various elective positions in Kaduna State have dropped all court cases and collapse their respective structures into the party’s Campaign Council.
The aspirants, under the auspices of Kaduna APC Aspirants’ Forum, stated this at a parley in the party’s zonal Secretariat shortly after a meeting with Kaduna governorship candidate, Senator Uba Sani.
They however said talks were still ongoing with two frontline governorship aspirants, Hon. Sani Sha’aban and ACG Bashir Abubakar (retd), who are still aggrieved, to shelve their grievances and tow the same line in the overall interest of the party.
Tinubu To Be Unveiled As African Man Of Century

The Agbarijo Egbe Odo Yoruba (Grand Council of Yoruba Youths) will, on September 23 in Ibadan unveil All Progressives’ Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu as ‘African Man of the Century’ at this year’s edition of the Yoruba National Day celebration.
Its President-General, Awa Bamiji, said in a statement that the event, to be chaired by Araba Ifayemi Elebuibon, Araba of Osogbo and Agba-Awo of Yorubaland, will also seek to sensitise “millions of eligible voters of the Southwest Region” for the next year’s general election coming up between February and March.
Stop Acting As Wike’s Aide, APC Tells Makinde

The All Progressives Congress in Oyo State has flayed Governor Seyi Makinde for alleged poor performance since he assumed office in May 2019.
The party claimed that Makinde had not performed well despite that the state is collecting allocations bigger than many states.
The Oyo APC Publicity Secretary, Olawale Shadare, said in a statement on Sunday, that the governor had completely stopped governance in his bid to be relevant in national politics.
Makinde, the opposition party said, had been following his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike, about like his aide and thereby desecrating the status of Oyo as a pacesetter state.
