Lagos-Abuja Air Peace Flight In Crash Scarce

An Air Peace flight travelling from Lagos to Abuja on Thursday had a crash scare as it neared its destination – Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. 

The 6:30 am Air Peace Flight P47120 going from Lagos to Abuja nearly crashed in a forest area in Niger State before pulling up again.

19 Killed In FCT Auto Crash

Nineteen persons have been confirmed killed while eight others were injured in a Sunday auto crash at Yangoji-Gwagwalada Road in the FCT.

Mr Dauda Biu, Acting Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, confirmed the figures to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) when he visited the accident scene.

Anambra Abolishes Wearing Of Short Skirts In Schools

As schools set to resume on Tuesday, the Anambra State government says it has banned the wearing of short skirts by female students in schools.

The state commissioner for education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, said the ban is for both public and private schools in the state.

Former Convicted Drug Trafficker Arrested With Cocaine At Nigerian Airport

The Nigerian anti-narcotics agency, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), says it has arrested an ex-convict, Onyeka Charles Madukolu at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. 

The ex-convict was arrested for importing 5.90 kilogrammes of cocaine concealed in cans of deodorants and ladies’ lip gloss into Nigeria.

Masquerades Invade Church, Flog Pastor, Worshippers In Plateau

Masquerades on Sunday disrupted the service in Shikal village of Langtang South local government council of Plateau State.

They flogged the Pastor and worshippers, who ran helter skelter before vandalizing properties belonging to the church.
