Former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu on Tuesday said no Igbo man can win the presidency in 2023, ostensibly writing off Dr. Peter Obi’s chances.

Obi, Labour Party’s Presidential candidate is seeking to become president in 2023, with a huge social media followership base.

He has no single structure to drive his ambition, but he believes that the people are his structure.

Obasanjo Eulogises Queen Elizabeth II

Olusegun Obasanjo, former president of Nigeria, says he will remember the late Queen Elizabeth II as an exemplary leader.

According to a statement by Kehinde Akinyemi, his media aide, Obasanjo said this on Monday in an interview with News Central TV in Ogun state.

Queen Elizabeth died on September 8. She was 96 years old.

The queen, who was Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, was laid to rest on Monday.

Senate To Screen Ariwoola As CJN Wednesday

The Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Olukayode Ariwoola, will be screened for confirmation by the Senate on Wednesday.

This announcement was made on Tuesday at the plenary by the Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan.

Lawan accordingly appealed to all Senators to be present in plenary on Wednesday for the required screening of the Acting CJN for substantive capacity as Chief Justice of Nigeria.

Neco To Release 2022 Examination Results, 2021 Still Pending – State Govt

The Zamfara State Government has said that the payment of the 2022 National Examination Council (NECO) examination has been fully effected, saying that the results will be released at the end of the month.

This was contained in a press statement signed and issued to newsmen in Gusau, the state capital, by the state’s Commissioner of Information, Hon. Ibrahim Magaji Dosara.

The commissioner advised parents and guardians of the candidates who sat for the 2022 NECO examination to contact their respective schools for their results at the end of September 2022.

He noted that the affected candidates should therefore access their results online for gaining admissions into various institutions of higher learning before the release of the broadsheets to various schools from the Zamfara State Examination Board.
