Tinubu Names Campaign Coordinator For SW

Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who is also the Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, has been named the Southwest’s Zonal Coordinator for the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, personally signed a letter sent to Akeredolu which announced the appointment.

According to Tinubu’s letter dated August 8, 2022, Akeredolu, deserved the appointment because of his outstanding political accomplishments and the exceptional leadership he had shown as the governor of his state and as a party member.

Wike Has Been Treated Unjustly -Ortom

Samuel Ortom, governor of Benue, says his Rivers counterpart, Nyesom Wike, has been unfairly treated by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). 

Ortom spoke on Monday at the PDP caucus meeting in Makurdi, the Benue capital.

Wike had contested the PDP presidential primary in May, but lost to Atiku Abubakar, former vice-president.

Aggrieved Kaduna APC Aspirants Drop Court Cases

Aggrieved aspirants of the All Progressives Congress, in the last primaries to the various elective positions in Kaduna State, have resolved to drop all court cases against the party ahead of the 2023 general election.

The aspirants under the aegis of the Kaduna APC Aspirants’ Forum, also collapsed their structures into the party’s campaign council as automatic members.

The aspirants made their decision known at a press conference held at the party’s Zonal Secretariat, Kaduna, on Monday, shortly after a meeting with the state governorship candidate, Senator Uba Sani.

Plateau Guber Candidates Vows To Set Up Security Outfit

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Plateau, Nentawe Yilwatda, says he will set up an Amotekun (Western Nigeria Security Network) kind of security outfit in Plateau if elected in 2023

Mr Yilwatda stated this on Monday during a thank-you tour of the southern senatorial district of the state.

The governorship candidate said he was fully aware of security challenges the “state is grappling with and would explore all options to secure the state”.

Osun Govt Pledges Massive Infrastructure Development In Schools

Ogun government, on Monday, said it would ensure massive infrastructural development in primary and secondary schools across the state.

Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Abayomi Arigbabu, stated this while monitoring the resumption of schools across the state for the 2022/2023 academic session.

Mr Arigbabu explained that he and his team had gone around to monitor the level of preparedness as schools resumed the new academic session.
