According to a recent report by Sahara Reporters, some community leaders From Fakai village in the Shinkafi local government area of Zamfara State on Tuesday, paid a condolence visit to bandit kingpin, Bello Turji following the recent bombardment by operatives of the Nigeria Air force at his residence in the state.

Recall that Turji, a dreaded bandit leader had a few months ago given up arms and was reported to be helping the Zamfara state government to fight unrepentant terrorists. However, over the weekend, two NAF fighter jets bombarded his camp while he was holding a Naming ceremony for his child, killing scores of terrorists in the attack.
Meanwhile, a community leader who spoke to Sahara Reporters, told the Newspaper that they were in fear of a repraisal attack by Turji and his gang, so, they went to visit him.
“We met him this morning to sympathise with him, if not he will revenge on us”, the community leader was quoted as saying.
Recall also that military and police operatives who spoke with newsmen after the attack, had reiterated their position against terrorism and banditry, noting that they are ready to take the battle to bandits in the forest.
